"Making It Essential"

CYYAC 2012 is the connectional youth and young adult gathering for the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. It is an event that only happens every four years and is the largest single gathering of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. This five day conference will bring together top Christian Methodist Episcopal Church leaders as well as the best ecumenical speakers and talent with thousands of youth from all around the nation and beyond for what is sure to be a life-changing event.

We’re pleased to announce that the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church gathering of youths and young adults is returning to Orlando in 2012. The theme, Making IT Essential, comes directly from the texts of Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 2:42-47 in addition from the 2010 Episcopal Address written and delivered by Bishop Thomas L. Brown, Sr. I invite you to prayerfully consider how the CYYAC12 might contribute to your ministry with youths and young adults, as well as how your youths and young adults might contribute to the church's mission in Orlando.
But the destination, Orlando, is not the ultimate focus. We are building on our experience of learning of Doing A New Thing in 2008, by offering experiences of mission for youths and young adults at the conference. We are affirming the need for reaching, training, teaching and sending all of God’s people, their vocational call to "serve all people, following the example of Christ.

The journey of discipleship that is CYYAC12 starts a year before youths and young adults come together in Orlando. We will offer information through the website and printed material that will equip adult leaders to be with youths and young adults in ways that lead to the outcome for which we are planning and praying.

$150.00 (April 1, 2012 – June 1, 2012)
$200.00 (On-Site Registration subject to Availability after June 1, 2012)

The registration fee includes worship assemblies, workshops, spiritual formation groups, mission events, Conference Bag, Conference T-Shirt, Conference resources and materials. The registration fee does not include special events, travel, meals or lodging.
